Welcome Letter From the Chief
On behalf of the Stokesdale Fire District I would like to welcome you to our website. It is an honor and privilege to protect and serve our community with dedication and professionalism whenever the need arises. We are staffed twenty-four hours a day and are ready to respond to emergencies within our fire district and provide aid to neighboring fire departments as needed.
Our mission is to provide safe, efficient emergency and non-emergency services to our
community by implementing the latest training and industry best practices in the fire and emergency medical services field.
In closing, I would like to thank all our residents for your continued support. I welcome any question, concern, or comment regarding the fire district. Feel free to contact me at the number listed above.

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for volunteer membership with the Stokesdale Fire District Inc.
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must be a U.S. citizen or be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must reside within the Stokesdale Fire District response area.
- Must possess a valid N.C. driver’s license and/or the ability to obtain one.
- Must sign a release for the department to conduct a driving history and criminal history check.
- Must have never pled guilty to, entered a plea of no contest, or have been convicted of any felony regardless of the time span. Must have never been charged or convicted of any crime related to arson.
- Misdemeanor offenses will be taken into consideration by the Chief and applicant denial will be at the Chief’s discretion.
- Must pass a medical examination provided by the department physician.
