Fairview Volunteer Fire Department is located approximately 7 miles east of Asheville, NC and covers approximately 46 square miles. The Fairview VFD was established in 1959 and later chartered in 1961.

The Fairview Volunteer Fire Department responds to an average of 1900 incidents per year which include fire, medical, and rescue.
