Our company was borne out of our leadership team's understanding of the overwhelming responsibilities placed on today's emergency services organizations.

Management Solutions for Emergency Services (MSFES) is a service-oriented LLC established in North Carolina and operates with an office in Greenville, South Carolina. However, we cover organizations throughout the country. Our mission is to provide risk management, liability reduction, and human resource administration for fire departments (municipal and non-profit), rescue squads, cities, towns, counties, and state government agencies.

We know the fire/rescue chief's role has been transitioning from an emergency incident manager to a business manager. Most states have instituted mandatory training for chief offices to be informed about the legal responsibilities and administrative burdens. Along with these classes, there are also industry journal articles, seminar attendance, and a host of other sources for chiefs to become well-aware of their increasing responsibilities. As a team of experienced emergency services managers, we are familiar with the challenges of adequately responding to these requirements; sometimes, the uncertainty about when to begin, the lack of time and resources, or perhaps the confusion surrounding how to address legalities in a meaningful way sufficiently.

Keith Bost

Owner/Founder

Mr. Keith Bost has been serving the fire service since 1994. Early in his career, Mr. Bost rose through the ranks to become one of the youngest Fire Chiefs. He spent 12 years as a Fire Chief overseeing a significant amount of organizational growth. This oversight provided Mr. Bost with experiences with mergers, acquisitions, financial analysis, insurance service ratings, and human resource management within the fire service.

In addition to the hands-on field background, Mr. Bost has served on numerous advisory boards and committees at the county, state, and national emergency service levels. He even was a member of the Department of Homeland Security's Domestic Preparedness Committee.

Mr. Bost was recruited in 2011 by the National Volunteer Fire Council to develop a program for chief officers and instructors because of his experience in the transition of fire service organizations from volunteer to combination departments. He remains a certified fire and rescue service instructor, live fire instructor, and a National Fire Academy instructor.
