There is no open burning allowed in the Village of Clemmons.

Burning in the Town of Lewisville and Forsyth County is controlled by the Forsyth County Department of Environmental Assistance and Protection.  There are also regulations from the North Carolina Forestry Service.  Please review both sites for complete information on burning regulations.

Staff at the Lewisville Fire Department are trained to the Advanced-EMT level.  These personnel can routinely arrive faster than an ambulance and can administer emergency medical care to someone in need.

The department flow tests fire hydrants annually to make sure there is adequate water available in the event of a fire. Additionally, flow testing and maintenance of fire hydrants helps to improve the fire insurance rating of the community, which in turn lowers homeowners’ and business owners’ insurance premiums.

If a commercial or residential property is located within five road miles of a fire station, the insurance rating is 2/9E. Commercial or residential properties more than five road miles from a fire station have an insurance rating of 9.

The Lewisville Fire Department cannot fill swimming pools.

The Lewisville Fire Department does not require a fire alarm permit or the registration of residential fire alarm systems. We do ask that residents keep their alarm systems maintained to help prevent false alarms.
